Sales volume declined and prices increased in the 3rd quarter of 2022 when compared to the same period last year. The good news is that inventory is beginning to increase. The bad news is that it’s not enough yet and there are also higher prices and interest rates. This is causing a market that is in transition, though I think it will take some time and may be painful for both buyers and sellers of residential real estate before we see significant improvement.
