The de la Bahia condominium complex is made up of 303 attractive and desirable residences.  231 docks, a pool, a clubhouse, shuffleboard courts, and a yacht club for the residents. The very desirable marina is for the use of residents only and most condos have a deeded dock.  Rental charges for the use of docks are not allowed, so there won’t be any additional charges for those wishing to use another owner’s dock.

Vista Pines condos were first built in 1970 and the last one was completed in 1973.   All the buildings are two story and contain both 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath and 1 Bedroom 1 Bath units.  Sizes range from 1,089 sq. ft. of living space down to 679 sq. ft. 1 bedroom units.  Buildings are situated to maximize privacy and for serene views of green space.

There’s an active clubhouse with a large swimming pool as well as shuffleboard courts.  No pets are permitted in Vista Pines and this is an age restricted (55+) community.  The HOA fees as of August 2014 were from the low $200’s for a 1 Bedroom unit to just over $300 per month for 2 Bedroom condos.

Spinnaker Point on Hutchinson Island is easy to miss when driving by on Highway A-1-A in Stuart FL.  But, it is one of the gems for those who want both river and ocean access.  This gated community has 12 homes west of the road and 2 lots that have yet to be built upon on the ocean side.

Four of these homes enjoy being on the Intracoastal Waterway (also known as the Indian River) and have deeded docks with ocean access (no fixed low bridges) through the Saint Lucie Inlet just a little under 5 miles south. The remaining 8 homes have access to the community pier and a few have deeded docks as well.

All the homes are built in the Key West style and were built between 1991 and 2001.  Home sizes range from a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a 2 car garage up to a 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom home with a 2 and ½ car garage.  There is deeded access to the ocean with a boardwalk leading over the dunes.  All ages and pets are permitted in Spinnaker Point.

School-age children attend the Felix A Williams elementary school, Stuart middle school, and Jensen Beach high school.
