Snug Harbor was the vision of a group of 10 Yachtsmen, many former Commodores of the Chicago Yacht Club back in 1943. They bought the land and platted the area in September 1944 as well as forming the Snug Harbor Corporation, which controlled the ownership of the lots.

 

In 1975 the deeds were distributed and/or sold to the then owners and a condominium form of ownership was established under the name of the Snug Harbor Yacht Club. For December 2025, two condos are for sale in the St Lucie Club Condos (officially known as the Saint Lucie Club Apartment Homes Condo) in Stuart FL.  The list prices range from $295,000 up to $325,000. This is an average list price of $310,000 which works out to $219.61 per sq. ft. of living area.

There is one Saint Lucie Club condo currently under contract. List price is $300,000, which is $178.15 per sq. ft. of living space.

These condos consist of 3 elevator buildings with 52 total units that were built from 1982 to 1984.  Condo sizes range from 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condos with 1,684 sq. ft. Down to 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condos with either 1,488 or 1,351 sq. ft. of living area.   I believe a valuable benefit, the Saint Lucie Club has under-building parking for at least one car for each owner. There’s also a community pool and shared tennis courts in the lushly landscaped grounds.
