Spinnaker Point on Hutchinson Island is easy to miss when driving buy on Highway A-1-A in Stuart FL.  But, it is one of the gems for those who want both river and ocean access.  This gated community has 12 homes west of the road and 2 lots that have yet to be built upon on the ocean side.

Four of these homes enjoy being on the Intracoastal Waterway (also known as the Indian River) and have deeded docks with ocean access (no fixed low bridges) through the Saint Lucie Inlet just a little under 5 miles south. All the homes are built in the Key West style and were built between 1991 and 2001.  Home sizes range from a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with a 2 car garage up to a 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom home with a 2 and ½ car garage.  There is deeded access to the ocean with a boardwalk leading over the dunes.  All ages and pets are permitted in Spinnaker Point.  The HOA fee is $250.00 per month.

School-age children attend the Felix A Williams elementary school, Stuart middle school, and Jensen Beach high school.

For January 2019 there are 2 condos for sale in Oceana (I and II aka Oceana Oceanfront) in Jensen Beach FL on Hutchinson Island.  List prices are $219,000 and $305,000.  This is an average list price of $262,000 which equals $256.11 per sq. ft. of living space.

Oceana I was built in 1975 and is a 12 story building with 125 condos, while Oceana II was completed in 1980 with 16 stories and 160 units.  Oceana II has two penthouse units with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with a spacious 2,092 sq. ft. of living area.  Also in building II, there are a few 2 bedroom 3 bath condos with 1,421 sq. ft.  The remaining condos in both Oceana I and II are either 2 bedroom, 2 bath residences with 1,129 or 1,023 sq. ft. and some 1 bedroom, 2 bath condos with 899 sq. ft.
