The Pinecrest Lakes community of Jensen Beach FL was first developed in the late ’70s and early ’80s during a time when the Martin County Commissioners were notoriously stringent and restrictive about new developments in the area. Rocky Point in Stuart, FL is a wonderful boating-oriented community located just off the Saint Lucie Inlet in beautiful Martin County Florida. One of the highlights of the year for Rocky Point is the Port Salerno Seafood Festival.  Held yearly in the winter, this free festival fills the streets of Historic Port Salerno.  In addition to serving up the area’s freshest and tastiest seafood, live music, community booths, arts & crafts, activities for the kids, pirates and more keep the entire family entertained the whole day. Admission is FREE, though attendees are asked to bring canned goods in exchange for zero admission to benefit from a food drive for local food banks.

Located west of A-1-A  (Ocean Drive) on Hutchinson Island in Jensen Beach (Saint Lucie County) and just approximately 3 miles north of the Jensen Beach Causeway is this unique townhome community by the name of Tradewinds.

All ages are welcome and up to two large pets are OK.  Rentals are also permitted with some restrictions.

These townhomes are deeded as condos. The monthly fees include maintenance and insurance for all structures and common areas.  There is a community pool as well as a community pier with deeded docks on the Indian River (Intracoastal Waterway).  Residents of these townhomes have the ability to go fishing on the Intracoastal from their boat or right from the dock, or simply just walk across the street to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Bay Colony of Stuart is an exclusive gated community lying on the shores of the North Fork of the Saint Lucie River.  There are 34 homesites in Bay Colony and as of February 2019, only two vacant lots remain.

Many homes in Bay Colony are waterfront and enjoy gorgeous mile-long wide-open views of the river.  Homes come in sizes from 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom homes of just over 2,000 sq. ft. of living area up to a 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom home with over 5,000 sq. ft. of living space and almost 6,300 sq. ft. under roof.  Homes have been built from 1979 to the newest, completed in 2005.

This community enjoys low HOA fees which go towards maintaining the common areas, management fees, trash pickup, and gate.

Excellent location that’s close to the Treasure Coast Mall and the shopping areas of US-1 in Jensen Beach. And, only a few minutes to the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean.

This community is in the Martin County School system. Children attend the Felix Williams Elementary, Stuart Middle, and Jensen Beach High Schools.
