Also just a couple of minutes to Florida’s Turnpike for those wishing to either commute or to make a short trip to West Palm Beach or other points just North or South.

Danforth features low HOA fees of $328.00 per quarter (as of July 2017). Construction in Danforth was first completed in 1990 with most homes dated from then to the late 1990’s and at least one home completed in 2001. The championship course at Monarch boasts 6,867 yard par 72 with a slope of 133 and a rating of 73.6. Shorter options exist for all levels of play. This is an Arnold Palmer designed course that opened in 1987 and is currently managed as a ClubCorp facility.

There’s a beautiful clubhouse with pro shop, fine dining room, snack bar and outside bar that is open to club members and residents of Monarch Country Club. The two story structure offers beautiful views of the emerald green fairways of the ‘Monarch’ course at the Monarch Country Club. This fine facility is also available for business, social conferences and weddings. Adjacent to the clubhouse is a professional caliber tennis facility with six perfectly maintained, lighted Har-Tru courts. A full-service Pro Shop is available to suit all of your needs. One of the most desirable communities in Palm City, Orchid Bay (also known as Captain’s Creek) lies just south of the new Palm City Veteran’s Memorial Bridge off of Mapp Road. This gated community of 153 home-sites (including only two vacant lots at this time) enjoys spacious private lots of at least a ½ acre with a few properties residing on over 1 acre sites. This planned community was developed by the Tartan land Company in the early 1990’s and all homes are individually constructed by the lot owner’s builder of choice. Consequently this is not a “cookie cutter” community by any means.

Homes range in size from over 5,000 sq. ft. of living area to just over 2,000. From as many as 8 bedrooms down to 3 bedroom homes. Both one and two story residences. Homes were built from 1992 through 2007. Amenities include tennis courts, a picnic and playground area as well as a public gazebo. Numerous lakes and ponds are on this property with many homes enjoying serene water views. Orchid Bay has its own community propane tank so all residents have the option of hooking in for propane utilities if desired.

HOA fees at the time of this writing (April 2017) are $187.00 per month (payable quarterly). These fees include maintenance of the roads, trash pickup, common areas as well as basic cable TV service.

About Fox Run in Palm City

Fox Run is a waterfront community on the Hidden River and just north of Murphy Road between Matheson Avenue and High Meadows Avenue. Only 57 homes in this community and they were built from 1979 through 2005. 11 homes are on the banks of the Hidden River with deep water ocean access docks. The remaining homes have exclusive access to a boat ramp as well as a large lot to store trailers and RV’s.

Homes are of a wide variety of sizes and shapes ranging from 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom homes of over 3,000 square feet of living area to just over 1,200 sq. ft. homes with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Other than the boat ramp and the storage/parking lot there are no other amenities in Fox Run keeping the HOA fees to a very reasonable $350 a year.

Close to shopping, restaurants and with easy access to Florida’s Turnpike for those commuting either north or south, this quiet residential area is the perfect spot for families or couples looking for a great neighborhood with access to boating and fishing.

One of Palm City’s premier neighborhoods, Monarch Country Club is home to the ‘Monarch’ Golf Course in a wonderful gated community of approximately 500 homes.
